Mathematical Modelling

Using FE software, many complex physical problems can be solved quickly and easily. Nevertheless, it is necessary to fall back on a simple mathematical, physical problem in order to make a quick statement. In addition, special methods and verifications may be used which are not implemented in the software systems.

For this purpose, the employees of OWT have MathCAD for mathematical modeling and development environments (such as GNU Octave) at their disposal.

With MathCAD, for example, the verification of a bolted flange can be set up clearly and easily documented.

In GNU Octave, algorithms can be developed and used to evaluate different signals and results from FE programs. These signals and results mean large amounts of data. In order to enable rainflow counting or Fourier analyzes, our employees have powerful algorithms at their disposal.
