Maritime
Floating structures for Wind Energy
Floating structures for wind turbines form a highly interesting link between the two worlds of maritime and wind energy. They were developed to open up areas of the sea that cannot be reached by fixed anchored structures. OWT is extensively involved in this development beyond the structural dimensioning.
- Our scope is:
- Planning and design as part of the prototype development
- Evaluation of hydrostatic capabilites
- Numerical calculation of hydrodynamic behaviour
- Mooring analysis
- Structural design
- Implementation of the basic design
- Structural design
- Detailed verification of the structural steel components
- Supervision the coupled analysis
- Support of interfaces between design and load calculation
- Carrying out comparative analyses
We have established a cooperation with sowento, Stuttgart, (Germany).
